Yearbird uses Google OAuth to securely connect to your Google Calendar. Here's how we handle your data:
Yearbird requests read-only access to your Google Calendar through the Google Calendar API. This includes your calendar events, their titles, dates, times, and associated calendars. We use the calendar.readonly scope, which means Yearbird can only view your calendar data—it cannot create, modify, or delete any events.
Your calendar data is never stored on any servers. Yearbird is a client-side application, which means all data processing happens entirely in your web browser. When you sign in, your browser communicates directly with Google's servers to fetch your calendar data. We have no servers that receive, store, or process your personal information.
No. Yearbird only requests read-only access to your Google Calendar. This is enforced by Google's permission system—we literally cannot create, edit, or delete your calendar events. Yearbird is designed purely for visualization and planning, not calendar management.
You can revoke Yearbird's access at any time by visiting your Google Account permissions at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Find Yearbird in the list of connected apps and click "Remove Access." Since we don't store any of your data, revoking access immediately ends Yearbird's ability to view your calendar.
